Stanly Regional Medical Center
serving the greater Stanly County community since 1950. Stanly
Regional Medical Center is recognized as a leader in technology, customer
service and quality initiatives.
Stanly County Schools
are community schools; many with enrollment of less than 500
students. The 2004-2005 Adequate Yearly Progress results show
of the 22 schools in the system, 7 schools were designated as
schools of Distinction and 11 as schools of Excellence.
Gray Stone Charter School is a regional school that provides a college
preparatory curriculum for students in grades 9-12 who live in a
rural area. It is a state-supported school, therefore there is no
charge to any state resident that is of high school age.
Stanly Community College (SCC) Crutchfield Education Center
offers a wide variety of Associates Degrees and Diploma Programs. The
college also provides programs designed to meet the ever evolving
needs of local industry through their Corporate & Professional
Education Center.
Pfeiffer University
offers undergraduate degrees in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Information Systems, Engineering Studies, Both Business
Administration / International Business and Mathematics as well as
Liberal Arts. The University also offers several Graduate Degree
Programs.
The Fork Farm & Stables
features an impressive Olympic-caliber facility and a cross country
equestrian course designed by Capt. Mark Phillips of Great Britain and
Les Smith of Muncie, Indiana. The course is arguably one of the
countries finest.
